The sound of the carousel floats in the air, as the youngest children flock to the up and down of the horses and the round and round of kiddy rides especially for them.  Teenagers (and their parents!) thrill to whipping fast or soaring high on the exciting adult rides.  And it’s always a challenge to “Try Your Luck” at the games of chance and skill.  “Come One, Come All” to the Vermont Maple Festival Carnival!

The Carnival is open when the Main Street Activities are underway, and remains open into the early evening.

What would a Maple Festival be without pancakes and sausages for breakfast?  A fund raiser for the ARC of Northwestern Vermont, the Pancake Breakfast gets Festival-goers off to a maple-good start on both Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. until noon.

Expect light fluffy pancakes, MacKenzie Maple Sausages, Ham, Eggs, Fruit and enough Pure Maple Syrup in the constantly refilled pitchers to satisfy the hungry fans of the Flavor of Vermont!  Juice, milk and coffee, with extras of ice cream and Cabot cheese samples (donated by Franklin County Dairy Promotion) round out the breakfast, which is truly an old-fashioned, hearty morning meal!

Tickets, available at the door:

• $8.00 for adults

• $7.00 for seniors (60 and up)

• $4.00 for children ages 5 to 10
